How does the intense pulsed light work?

The light energy from the Intense Pulsed Light is absorbed to particular target cells in the skin. IPL directly targets overactive sebaceous glands, reducing the number off and severity of active lesions and lessening the inflammation and frequency of breakouts. The light stimulates the production of new collagen to improve skin texture, and can also reduce the appearance of red or brown areas of skin that are often associated with acne breakouts.

How does the treatment feel?

Clients describe treatment as a warm heat sensation on the skin, this is tolerable and no anaesthesia is need.

How many Treatments are needed?

In most cases clients’ needs on average 6 treatments. However, this depends on each individual client and the severity of the area being treated. Significant results can be achieved in as little as 3 treatments.

Are there any side effects?

The treatment area can become quite red immediately after treatment but subsides quickly. Most people experience no other side effects.
